ROVER

ROVER is an automated storage and retrieval system for library materials in the Gwendolyn Brooks Library.

ROVER houses several categories of library materials, including all of the bound periodicals, a significant number of Black Studies publications, archival materials, microform, and most of the books published prior to 1991. ROVER houses 80-90% of the Library's collections.

ROVER can be viewed from the second and third floors of the Library. ROVER is comprised of 6500 storage bins and an automated arm that retrieves the bins.
