On June 24, 2020, the Gwendolyn Brooks Library along with all of the I-Share libraries launched an online discovery systemPrimo VE. The GBL catalog, the I-Share consortial catalog, and the majority of GBL databases were integrated into the new system. Primo VE offers users the ability to search for a variety of scholarly resources from the Gwendolyn Brooks Library and all 89 I-Share libraries simultaneously, including books, journal articles, and other print and digital materials.

The simplest way to use Primo VE is by typing your terms in the "For Books, Articles, & More..." search box on the Library home page, and hitting the "Enter" button on your keyboard. To get complete results and to request items, sign in to the system with your CSU login credentials. For more detailed information on how to use Primo VE to search the GBL catalog or the I-Share catalog, visit the following page on the Library web site:

If you need further assistance, visit the Reference Desk, located on the 2nd floor of the Library, for in-person assistance from a Research Librarian. Remote assistance is available via email, telephone, text, or live-online via chat or Zoom during the Reference Desk hours of service.
