Use an article database like Academic Search Complete or a database focused on a specific academic discipline. The following are a few examples:

  • Business Source Elite for Business journals
  • Education Research Complete for Education journals
  • APA PsycARTICLES for Psychology journals
  • CINAHL Complete for Nursing journals

Most databases include a variety of options for limiting the search results, including the following:

  • Only articles from scholarly journals
  • Only articles from peer-reviewed journals
  • Only articles that are available in full text

Such options are typically available on the main search screen for a particular database. For a complete list all the databases available at the Gwendolyn Brooks Library, click on Databases A-Z here. For a list of the databases recommended for a particular academic subject or discipline, click on Databases by Subject here.

Ask a Reference Librarian for further assistance.
